Re: Hit pothole- now abs /hand brake fault?

If it is a B6 I suspect the rear left hub has been damaged/shattered the inner bearing. When jacked up it may be difficult to feel any play but once the wheel is on the floor and rotating the there will be enough play for the hub to wobble and this will cause the 'air gap' between the back of the hu...

Re: ABS SENSOR

Sensors are different for each wheel or at least side to side. Have you checked for any play in the hub/wheel bearing? I changed a sensor and did not cure my fault. Eventually discovered that the inner bearing in the hub was knackered after 130K so the small amount of play was causing the 'air gap' ...

Re: Air con help

I suspect if it is anything like the B6/CC then the bolt will have fell out the middle of the clutch pack on the side of the compressor pulley, common fault on Delphi A/C compressors. Once loose the teeth get rounded off by the compressor shaft and then suddenly no aircon. If you look down the side ...

Re: 12 button MFSW issues (I think) - volume changes itself

Try swinging each door in turn with the radio on. You might have a bad speaker cable connection, or water in one of the doors that's not drained but just sloshing about? Repeat this test with the windows down too? Sounds like it's been a retrofit RNS315 that's not been connected correctly as you de...

Re: 12 button MFSW issues (I think) - volume changes itself

You'll have to tell us more. Does this happen in CD play, radio play, and SD Card play? By "change volume" do you mean it'll go into "Mute" so as you can only hear a whisper that there's sound there? What headunit? Is this the VW from factory headunit? Does it have navi If Navi,...

12 button MFSW issues (I think) - volume changes itself

Hi all, My 2011 CC GT came from the factory with the 12 button MFSW which has been working spot on until recently (142k and many tracks skipped etc) The problem is that whilst driving along the headunit will randomly change the volume, sometimes over bumps but mainly when steering. I am guessing I h...

Great in summer but a oh fiddlesticks! to clean lol. Mine is on KW v1 coilovers after my DCC dampers died a death and is surprisingly chu...

Re: 2011 CC ESP/ABS/TPMS/Handbrake error codes

Just to update, ended up fitting a brand new genuine rear hub from TPS. Problem solved straight away and no more error codes. Much darker inside now driving around at night with no dashboard xmas tree lights! The inner bearing of the old hub had a good amount of play so was obviously occasionally wo...

Re: Error

Get it scanned on VCDS it will tell you exactly where the error lies. I had the same as you with all the above lights coming on. Mine was a rear hub after 140k the inner bearing had a lot of play and was wobbling causing out of range readings from the sensor. This also damaged the end of the sensor ...

Re: 2011 CC ESP/ABS/TPMS/Handbrake error codes

If you're happy that the reluctor ring is not at fault -- you mention that the hub could be out of true -- then the next step after clearing the codes and seeing what returns, is to change the sensor. I'm not convinced that it is not at fault. There is no reluctor ring as such on the rear it is a m...

Re: 2011 CC ESP/ABS/TPMS/Handbrake error codes

Probably the reluctance ring at the wheel bearing that revolves in front of the sensor. One poster found that by cleaning his ring off of crud around it his fault cleared: http://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=67678&p=548951&hilit=reluctor#p548951 If you suspect the reluc...

This is still an issue, Cleaned up back of hub tried old and new abs sensor and still getting: 03841 - RPM Sensor Rear Left: Incorrect Signal I tested the connector with a voltmeter and with the ignition on one pin was getting around 4 volts and the other less than half a volt. Is this right? At my ...

2011 CC ESP/ABS/TPMS/Handbrake error codes

Hi all, I have been scratching my head on this one. ESP/ABS/TPMS/Handbrake all light up on dash randomly and will not clear in VCDS. Re: What did you do to your Passat today?

After 6 days of noise free motoring since replacing the drop links it decided to break more things. After 122.5k everything now wants to break it seems. Whether the new drop links added extra strain to already worn parts I don't know, but top mount strut bearing decided to crumble on Saturday night....

Angle grinded the drop links of my 5 year old CC after a hard 122K they were knocking like a good un. Bolted up new ones with lots of copper slip. No knocking and much less, roll and understeer. Realised I soon need more new tyres, then gave it a wash as its done at least 3k since the last one :esm

Re: Machine Polisher .... New to this

Das 6 Pro is a great beginner machine, I have one myself. Compounds depend on what cars it will mainly be used on. If they are mainly VAG cars like yours the paint is normally (not always) quite hard. I have the AF kit and found it lacked bite on my Passat CC paint. I have however used the same DA w...

Very envious of the mk2s, mine is somewhat rough around the edges atm. Would love a gtd mk2 or a passat b3 tdi to replace my CC as a daily.

Your passat looks great on air! I think i need to do something similar to my CC before I get bored and sell it for something much older!
