Re: Been Saying This Since They Outlawed Leaded Petrol.

The adblue is also injected into the exhaust system after combustion by a nozzle that sprays it pretty much like a diesel injector so that its gaseous. Doesn't go near or effect combustion. Obviously with better Diesel engine and egr systems the adblue system will have less to work with. The sensors...

Re: Been Saying This Since They Outlawed Leaded Petrol.

Hwang, Ad blue is the marketing name for coloured urea. Hence the sensors my company is producing for audi are urea quality detection sensors. The urea (pigs to be exact) reacts with nox and reduces the emissions by 85% Google it http://www.monomers.basf.com/cm/internet/en_GB/portal/_/content/Produk...

That's the point. Ad blue renders the diesel particles harmless, called progression.

There's two ways. Oem via cecm or via a 3rd party relay. Each require a different loom. There's plenty of how to guides on vortex.com and alike. If your looking a loom message Revo on this forum as rob made mine.

Re: Been Saying This Since They Outlawed Leaded Petrol.

Is this not why by 2017 all new diesels will have ad blue tanks to kill all emissions? My work is currently making the sensors for audi's 2015 release

Re: What's this all about and how to fix ?

Check to see if its the main intake motor or the diesel 'throttle body' that's located above the egr. If it's the intake motor I replaced mine a few months ago and quite straight forward if you take your time. And if its the throttle body I've a few in the garage that I'd bought before realising it ...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

Quick update. After chatting to my mate I've bottled it and cancelled the hybrid turbo. Cars still going in on Monday for the dpf delete but holding off the turbo until I have enough money to get the turbo and clutch done at the same time, which is unusually sensible of myself x_x Here's a photo of ...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

Thanks nick. Dunno to be honest. Been texting Ricky as he's the only I know that knows anything about clutches. Other forums have conflicting threads all say about the Sachs performance clutch but then at the same time to get an organic fly wheel or single mass fly wheel. So I honestly am clueless. ...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

God that was one oh fiddlesticks! of a job. Swapped the turbo actuators took me 2 1/2 hours start to finish with 40 minutes butchering a 10mm extended socket in order for it to fit in the limited space. Doesn't sound long but considering its 4 bolts and the first three are off in under 5 minutes, yo...

Re: b6 loss of power and barely any turbo !!

Pull the vacuum pipe off the n75 valve that goes to the turbo and suck it. The actuator should form a pressure and lightly suck your tongue to the pipe. If you suck with no resistance then its your actuator, apparently a common fault in the b6. Mine went last week so I'm replacing my actuator tomorr...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

Thanks Ant. After the engine I'm going to redo my air install. Going to minimalist and have two long slim tanks with nothing else. Here's a pic after I fitted and buffed the grill. Ordered the r line VW centre badge and a new pressed plate today so should be here shortly http://i1266.photobucket.com...

Re: B6... A Working Progress

Cheers Nick. It's been a hectic week in work so haven't had a chance to fit anything. I've booked next week off so should hopefully get a lot of loose ends sorted out and suss out what spacers I'll need to gett the brakes on and working.

Not bad for a homer. Will get it gone properly when I get more of the car sprayed but I'm happy.

Just need to flatten it and polish

Now lacquered. Just needs to dry over night before I wet sand it back and polish up.

A good old bottle of Stella came to my aid in the end for supporting the grill.

Re: B6... A Working Progress

Well seb you where right. The debadged grill was one piece. So I've split the r line grill, sanded it down, filled a few stone chips and primed. Letting the paint dry before I run it down again for more primer. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj532/homerdog81/FCDC52FB-A6EA-46C5-A6A1-37C8963DB022...
