Try and see if it works first. I know a lot of people have made comments about the aftermarket stereo issue. I haven't come across this problem yet.

I'd plug it in and see if it scans first before worrying.

Yes they are, but that's not the problem. At night, when the the lights are on the passengers side doesn't come on.

Hi all,

I have a problem with my car, the parking lights will not come on when i switch on the lights, I replaced the fuse yesterday and it still isn't working.

Although if i leave the indicator on and take out the key, it will come on. All the fuses on the drivers side are ok.

Any ideas?

i think it depends on what year your car is. if it is an early one, pre 1999 i think then it's got a throttle cable. You can reset the TB by planting your foot down on the pedal, turn the ignition on (not start) and count to 20. If it is a drive-by-wire (later models, after 1999) you might need vag-...

On a positive note, I've managed to change my key from the banjo style to the flip key. Yeah, brand new key, had the key cut with my banjo style as the template, so it opens the doors and unlocks the ignition but will not start the car.

Key arrived, tried to program it, managed to get the remote working, but it won start the car. It's got a new chip so I thought the programming would have done the immobiliser.

Any thoughts?
