Neighbor checked that and the reading was correct Could be the coolant temp sensor then as that’s where climatronic gets the reading from. Buy genuine “ if you have plenty of cash” or Meyle and Febi/Bilstein one’s from Murray’s Direct on EBay or online between £11 and £17. Sent from my iPhone using...

Water got between the auxiliary belt and pulleys, momentary loss of drive leading to no charge for battery no power steering assistance and has maybe set a fault code for the alternator.
Lower splash guard has a purpose.

Glow plugs won’t operate at those temps so don’t bother with them, only 2 degrees or less.
