you can get steel wool attatchments for a drill so its like the wheel polishing kits, that will get it a fine finish and remove alot of the small scratches bud.then if you want to polish them get a wheel polishing kit.

Defo not impossible seb and can deffo be done. Ford's are converted,and other cars so passats can, just comes down to money at end of the day. Can be done at home in a garage IF u know what yr doing. Can't believe I forgot about the stat I had the exact same symptoms and was the stat, just read thru sum of my old threads and everything yr saying is same as me. Change the stat and temp sensor and should all be fine bud

Cheers for that Adam, think id prob get a v6 wagon and not to fussed on petrol or diesel as I'd do stuff to it and use just for fun and trailer my tank to shows etc etc once its ready for that stage lol.

Tbh bud, its a good idea for it to be done BUT with the conversion I cudnt nor wouldn't know where to start so its safe to say this idea has been put to sleep.
Regards the 4motion/syncro do they do them in a wagon coz if they do I'd prob get one of them.

Sorry to hyjack this thread BUT does anyone know the CORRECT way to change a wiper blade, air filter, fill washer fluid up???.
