Did you not put any wax on top of the polish? Ideally after the polish add a cost of wax especially as you clayed to start with. Help protect all your hard work

Re: Advice Looking to buy
Well I prefer the bluemotion, would I be put off by the mileage? No. ultimately that is how (IMHO) a diesel is supposed to be used, I would hazard a guess it has been a company car and has spent a lot of its life on A roads and M-ways so for me this is when the engine/ gearbox/ clutch are at there l...

Re: advice on the 1,8t
I just sold my b5 with the 1.8T lump in it, just turned 160k and she was perfect, no smoke on start up or boost however she had been regularly serviced her entire life every 5k with fully synthetic 5w30 oil, saying that mine had the slightly older but some say the stronger turbo lump with the AEB en...

Re: Stab in the dark - Subaru..
I had a crack in a manifold a couple of years ago on a Vectra and the sound of tap was very similar. If it were me I would not buy it but I guess its a catch 22 you could buy it and it costs you next to nothing to repair but on the other hand ...

Re: Trying to find a new car - dishonest sellers
Finding the same too but with caravan sellers. Some are quite some distance away all I ask is if they have damp or soft walls and each time I get lied to. Ive done over 500 miles now looking and getting fed up of it. I feel your pain. Same here, "does the caravan have any damp" ... "...

Re: Trying to find a new car - dishonest sellers
Just a little moan really. Why is it that sellers just lie about the condition of cars they are selling, found trade to be worst. Spend the weekend going round looking at a number of cars and non of them where the 'immaculate' 'beautiful' or 'well maintained' condition they are advertised as. Im lo...

Re: Loud buzzing noise and vibration when driving
Any chance it could be a mis-shaped or badly worn tyre? My wife had P Zero's on her Ibiza and they progressively got noisier and noisier, switched to hankook ventus v12 and the sound has gone.

Re: Advice on new car please (in addition to Passat)
If it were me I would be looking at Seat Leon Cupra tdi, 04 plate ish or the VRS Octavia - I keep a keen eye on both cupra net and briskoda for similar reasons. Some of the concerns you have raised maybe covered by company recalls would it be worth maybe investigating that path too? I.e. there was a...

Bit of a pain living over that side of uk for mappers lol, Just make sure if your not going with the big players APR/REVO/GIAC/AMD ect make sure the mapper knows VW's and can do full VCD health checks. Don't forget the Forge 007p with updated spring, if you go with 2.0t Coils get one step colder sp...
