Re: Sorry but a noob question about spare key. Is it that easy?

B5 Estate - Fuel Filler flap switch doesn't work, any ideas?
Bought the estate a few weeks ago on the proviso the seller would contact me about sorting this out, he's got a mate thats an auto electrician, but nearly four weeks later and I'm still having to pull the flap open from the inside of the boot side. Is there any usual problems with the switch...

Yes, thats what worries me going down the DIY route and cocking it all up.
Not too far away from Leeds mate, do they have a website? Where abouts in Leeds are they?
Cheers.

Sorry but a noob question about spare key. Is it that easy?
Fairly new to Passat ownership after selling my Corrado G60 and expected to walk into my local key cutting place and get a spare key knocked up for a few quid. How wrong could I be! Anyway I've done a few searches on the forum but seem to get conflicting results on sorting a spare key/fob, s...

Is it possible to get a delocked boot trim piece?
The boot lock on my B5 estate is knacked, the key won't even fit in the lock, so was thinking of de-locking and having a smooth trim piece but was wondering if anywhere does them? Seen a few for the Mk1/Mk2 Golfs but not for a Passat Estate. Bit too much of a small market? Is their an alternative to...

Re: NO BOOST ???
Be interested in the results mate, got a similar problem on my 110 TDi, but the guy I bought it off had recently had it Vagcom'd without any problems. He did mention he'd had to replace a pipe which had been rubbing and worn through. But as it only seems to happen when giving it some beans not sure ...

Re: Need help securing stuff in the estate boot!
Lucking out so far with Fleabay, most have emailed back to say they aren't suitable for an estate.
Local Stealers say they no longer do them for 99 model but thinks roughly same as new Passat and net for that is

If you need somewhere in town centre mate there is an ATS Centre on Wakefield Road, the guys there are a bit, how can I put it, a bit more mature, and know not to put locking wheel nuts on with an air gun!

Re: Need help securing stuff in the estate boot!
They both look ideal.
Do they just hook onto the rear boot fasteners? Presume they would both fit an estate?
Cheers.

Need help securing stuff in the estate boot!
Just after a bit of help.
Recently bought a B5 Estate for some extra load lugging but finding it difficult with half loads to keep everything in one place. Did VW ever do some kind of luggage holders or webbing to stop everything rolling around in the back?
Cheers.
