Re: rear bumper protection

Got one of the plastic covers on my B5 mate and still going strong, has survived shopping, camping trips and the odd monkey bike being shoved through the rear hatch. :-bd

Re: wrap help .... anyone had one

Hello mate, done a few small bits on the car and bike but had the roof done by a guy on here, as patience is a must. If you've never used the stuff before then just get a cheap small sheet off Fleabay and have a go with some small bits of trim or try the bonnet first, will give you an idea of how th...

My locals ones always seem to have an odd mix, from the Lax Power Clio's/Saxo's to previously a Mk1 Caddy with leather interior to last week an early Beetle?! :-o

Thumbs up for the treasure trove at your local scrappers!!

Just like to remind people that while the internet can be great and Fleabay for that hard to find part, don't forget about your local scrappers! Picked up a full rear tailgate lock, including c/l pump and outside plastic handle trim AND a set of proper, 'Passat' logo'd rubber mats all for £10 at th...

B5 Estate has four screws mate, two at the top corners, (bits that scoop up) and two in the door handle recesses behind two plastic covers, (if there still there), and then a carefull prise off, as its held in by alot of metal clips. Had to take mine off to replace the locking mechanism, plastic han...

Re: interior door handle inserts

As above mate, they are like a thin metal strip and just take a bit of fiddling with, easier with the handle off of the door.

What you doing with them? Can be polished up with a bit of elbow grease.

Sometimes scrappers are just as bad. Kept visiting a couple of the local yards for the underneath engine cover for my B5, but they all seemed to be smashed or been hacked in two. Eventually asked one of the guys why they were always trashed, "well we smash'em off to get to any bits under...

Think the club, Ant, and the members that turned up deserve browny points, 9 cars showed up for a 10 spot even in poo weather, AND everyone pretty much rolled in together!! ^:)^ Compared to Unphased with a ten spot and not ONE car turned up or message to say the space was free and Dubforce with a 5 ...

Re: some idiot on ebay

Hello mate, report him to Fleabay to at least make it official. Put my motorbike up for sale before Crimbo and got a PM with a low offer, so just rejected it very politely, next thing gets a PM asking if I'd accept the offer "with his balls deep inside me?" Unfortunately Fleabay account is...

As above mate, if its only been 12months it might not be adopted by the Council yet, but a quick phone call to your local Council Highways department and you can find out for sure. But as its a new estate the local council wouldn't adopt it until everything is finished, including the roadway and foo...
