Has it been run on beg oil or chip fat? If so the fuel lines could be slightly caked with hack internally :-? Also the fuel pick-up in the tank can get gummed up (easily removed from the tank to inspect, through a plate in the boot floor) What fault-codes are logged in the engines ecu? Also, a stuck...

Think B4's only had one type of electric window reg / motor, B3's had a more basic 'cut your head off' 2 wire motor... It's all up to you, think the 1.8 is 90hp but don't hold me to it :- As to mfa etc, all depends on spec.... My '89 CL td has keep-fit Windows & central locking, manual mirrors and had a basic dash cluster.... Although I've added mfa dash, 1.9tdi, cruise, have electric & heated mirrors, airco...

I think the buzzer is in the back of the dash clocks cluster, but not on all clusters :- Turbo-Diesel gets the taco in pulse for the high / low pressure sensors from the alternator 'W' terminal & it's common for for the wiring to break in its sub-loom from the alternator to the startermotor wher...

I have a vague memory of this, must have rea or heard about it somewhere

Tried it on my B3 when I bought it, the hg was goosed so I (clutching at straws??) tried it.... Had to stop 5 times on the 120 mile trip to fill with water :hyst Admittedly the water / hg issue was only when under load / boost that it lost water..... Was worth a try but dunno if it works every time ...

Iirc, a B4 shares the same screen and other glass, shame is I've just said a final goodbye to my old B4 td wagon that was stripped 3 years ago to its bones & I think the only thing left that could have been removed was the windscreen
