Defo the same just match or better amperage output but usually 120A To make life easier without detrimental effects place a pry bar in cooling fan aluminium housing blades (one spot is a little wider so is ideal). Now twist pry bar this will break off a little of the aluminium allowing the lower alt...

You can check the alt pulley with everything assembled maybe just top cover off. Insert implement into alternator and turn cooling fins, should turn easily one way and lock the other if good but if seized wont turn either way!

Where they park! Mine followed wiper sweep for years before becoming Kaput!!! Go by the visual apperance as theres tons all the same throughout the vag range and ford galaxy mk1/2

Just tested my 05 175k galaxy, all good! Then whilst wiring loon was off started car and it started as normal!!
