Bought an old Zephyr 6 once and blew it up on the way home. Rod out the side of the block. At the time they were 10 a penny so bought another the following day and that broke down on a busy roundabout 2 days later about 50 meters away from where i blew the other one up. This ended my love of Fords f...

Re: Idiotic design
So you are complaining that a job you would only normally do every 10 years or so takes 2 hours rather than one hour and then comparing it to a car that has no rear seat belts and all the ugly greasy bits showing. Really? A ha but I recon you've whipped coilies on and off a B3 wagon more times than...

Re: Why has this happened!?
Perfectly normal with the wet weather we have been having dry cold outside so no ice and damp and cold inside hence the ice, although you may want to investigate if you have a leak into the car somewhere when it warms up.

Re: Urgent help needed!!
It should buzz but not so you would notice.... Take it off, clean it out with petrol and replace, normally solves the problem. for the price of a new one i would buy a new one as once it gets to the needing cleaning stage it will give up totally sooner rather than later. Not sure if this is your pro...

Re: Who is ready ?
I do think scandanavian countries have it right, certain parts of year its mandatory for winter tyres. Spent some time in Norway and its clear why and how much of a benefit it brings. In 20 years the passat is the first car Ive ever personally owned and driven on a regular basis with ABS, it doesnt...

Re: Sharan and Galaxy - how similar to B5/5.5?
Recently bought an Alhambra having looked at all 3 types, its a '98 with 140,000 on the AFN engine 2 owners and full service history paid just over £1,000. I was looking at an auto but the gearboxes are a bit weak compared to manuals, even more so if you are considering a chip and especially with t...
