A rare one that I can recall on here (Toonmania I think, search his posts), is that the steering rack mounting bolts were loose !

Don't feel anything, at least when the engine is running! Two things spring to mind;

1, Alternator pulley, does the tensioner and aux belt move about a lot?
2, Duel mass flywheel, does it go away when you find and hold the biting point on the clutch?

But does it smell nice?

I had one in my previous B5.5 and my MK4 Golf many years ago.

But despite being quite entertaining to look at they are rather pointless as it is quite obvious if you have boost or not.

A three bar VDO boost gauge is about £60 so I'll probably not bother again.
