You need to scan it for faults and go into the measuring blocks of the ABS system.
My bet is still on a wiring / connector issue.

Re: tyre pressure - Nitrogen
Partial Pressue.
Partial pressure is when you need to exert a little force to get a fart out. It is a highly dangerous state of affairs as there is always a danger that it is not actually a fart at all and is actually in a solid state.

Re: tyre pressure - Nitrogen
I reckon the Nitrogen is a right con.
What do they charge, £1 per wheel?
A bottle of Nitrogen is about £130 or £80 refilled and would probably do 500+ wheels.
A big profit generator for those who they can get to believe the hype.

Oh, don't get confused by the parking sensor module in the back ground of the ciggy socket pic, it has nothing to do with the towbar wiring.

Re: Trailer wiring canbus troubles?
Couple of things / thinks... 1, Check for fault codes. Note that the brake light switch is a duel output switch so whilst the brake lights might be shining, the other output to the ECU might be duff. 2, With VCDS, also log into the ABS system, go to measuring blocks and observe the rotational speed ...

Re: How long do i need to leave the car?
Fore me personally a sustained run would in excess of 30 minutes and over 60mph. For DPF regeneration though there may be more specific instructions. I don't know as my car does not have one. To add, on any turbo diesel with a VNT (variable nozzel turbine) turbo, which your car will have, it is impo...

Re: How long do i need to leave the car?
That is rubbish. In any turbo diesel car; Glowplug lamp off, start it and drive off. When switching off, let it idle for 30 seconds before switching off so as to allow the turbo to spin down. There is no minimum run time for an engine. The only complication would with cars fitted with a diesel parti...

Spend it instead if your car is pre 2003 on an EGR delete pipe.

Just looking at eurocarparts website and there doesn't seem to be that much in it between a SM conversion kit and a DM kit cost wise.
Is it worth doing this nowadays with so little cost saving? Note I've only looked at ECP.

Re: 03 Passat TDI, Timing Belt change
The interval is both worked out on time and distance. When they (the cars) were new it was 60k miles or 4 years. Some had 80k but I think still 4 years. Either way, I'd change it and also factor in a waterpump thermostat and coolant temp sensor change at the same time. Also be prepared to have the r...

I fitted a wiiter to my Highline estate and it DID interfere with the sensors. Saying that I think the bars are generic between the saloons and estates. As the saloon is actually longer than the estate I think the bar stuck out more than it should. You could risk it and buy a proper estate flanged b...

Really interested in one of these.
Fluke, that twin cam one is £71 from a UK seller on e-bay, bit pricy and wouldn't want the risk of ordering one from hong kong etc.
Anyone who has a 20 quidder, could you link to it ?

Re: High Emissions, advice please :)
Hate to say it but I think you are going to have to change the CAT.
A few other things;
How many miles has it done, big miles would indicate a worn out CAT.
How does it idle, is the throttle body clean / aligned, if not could give a wonky idle mixture.
