hello again!! :o)

Hello chaps .... I know I've been away for ages and ages. Had lots of horrible stuff going on and its meant among other things that the poor old car's been a bit neglected so I've been in hibernation  Anyway, after being told off on several occasions by Ant for not logging in for bloody ages I ...

Re: whats the matter with this chuffin' PC?

I just did a speed test on http://www.broadbandwatchdog.co.uk/speed-test.php and its saying download 408kbps and upload 332kbps.

Just did another one and upload is down to 168kbps. Surely hat's never right is it?

The icon in the tray says Local Area Connection 2 - speed 3.6mbps status connected.

whats the matter with this chuffin' PC?

My PC is relatively new... I'm on broadband, AOL, usually averages at about 3-3.5meg. Up until the other day I never had any trouble watching videos on youtube etc and I watched the first episode of Heroes the other day on iPlayer. I haven't gone on any sites that I don't usually in the interim, hav...

Re: instrument panel caput? boo hoo

really?? Hmmmmm

We did only connect the new battery just the once. As ever I pessimistically thought that if we disconnected it again it may be tempting fate to make nothing come back.

I'll give it a go before we go whipping clocks out.

Ta Gaz :D

Re: Have I got a wheel bearing on its way out?

Cheers everyone :D useful to know about the GSF bearings and also the thing about the front bearings. My mate Carl who thankfully knows what he's doing checked it all over and said there's absolutely nothing wrong with my discs (it was only the front ones the garage said needed replacing) so he stuc...

Never was it more apt to say it never rains but it pours! -The other week I was rescued by the RAC for what was thought to be a dodgy fuel pump relay but infact turned out to be nothing more than a melted fuse. - O/S brakelight which worked intermittently gave up altogether recently ... its not a do...

Re: stupid woman driver rant

I've always found in my experience that you generally get different kinds of bad driving from men and women - as a woman driver it gauls me to say this but I find that most incidents to do with being oblivious to anything else going around them tends to be women drivers. I suspect its to do with wom...

Have I got a wheel bearing on its way out?

I noticed the other day when i got up to about 65/70 on the motorway I had a (difficult to describe) "whirring" noise that increases with speed. Its not a noise that only occurs when braking and its not coming from the engine.... it definitiely sounds to me like wheel noise. The combinatio...
