remember a timing belt change aint worth doing if the water/coolant pump isnt also changed!!
pds need correct oil so if possible check with owner/service history to see whats been used

injector wiring loom perhaps??? you have disturbed it no doubt....seems too much of a coincidence for the tank pump to have started playing up, surely..i think they are around 30 quid, thats where i would start. fuel presure and delivery both need to be fully taken into account but like i said its a...

really, wow how did you/get hold of the correct merc maf
also just check the egr/throttle body, it has a vacume pipe on it on the top and can rub on the engine top cover, i personnaly rip the affending rubber insert out of the cover to stop it happenin

turbo boost presure valve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mounted behind a/c fan bolted to engine or possibly MAF. id change both if original, the glowplugs aint used as its TDI ie direct injection. never tried it but i bet if you disconnected em the engine would fire straight up, used for very col...

never had a passat airlock and av done loadsa waterpumps in with belt replacements. they self bleed very easily. you will need a garage with a magic wand to be able to tell you what it is defo.....i really do feel for ya's on this one, its a brave man who takes the head off one of these on a assumpt...

i have tried unbolting the fan coupling before but it always seems so bloody tight!!! my car came modified with a chiseled approach used, i did file my bro's very small amount. never have had any cooling problems touch wood!! any ideas what the symtoms would be if the balance was out.....

simply insert a small thin impliment say screwdriver in thru the alt casing to the in-built cooling fins i usually go for the rear ones. with GENTLE force the fins should turn clockwise but have strong resistance anti-clock, if yours is creame crackererd it will be solid, not move any direction and ...
