Re: strange clunking sort of noise
Ive got a motorfactors nearby,so they should be able to get hold of one, providing that is the problem. I assume the bearing sits inside the bush does it? Or is it separate?

Ive had all the suspension arms checked but its still there. Its more noticable when pulling away and on bum...

g-techniq c4 trim restorer
Hi all, been browsing through detailing world and came across this stuff called g-techniq c4,its a plastic trim restorer. Or google g-technic. There seems to be high praise about this stuff and claims to last a long time. Lots of beading and dries really quick and seems easy to use. Although pricey,i...

There are so many different shades of paint out there, how about an athracite colour, thats what ive gone for in my build thread. Its...

Re: juddering on pulling away
Although mines a petrol, mine used to be a bit juddery when pulling away. My coolent temp sensor was faulty(which is at the back of the engine on mine)replaced it and it solved the problem.
Hope that helps, someone else might be able to shed some light on it.

Turbo removal,how hard is it?
Afternoon all,how easy is it to remove the turbo(1.8t),im handyish with the spanners, but no expert. What sort of time frame is realistic. My actuator rod/wastegate is loose but obviously the turbo needs to come off so that i can see what is going on. Its been like this for a few a couple years now so...

Re: 1.8T: What sort of mpg do you get?
Mines a stocky apart from a panel filter.
Around town its 24 to 28.
Motorway its up around 38 39.
But then my turbo is still not behaving as it should, which is why the above figures are as they are.
