Rear Bumper inserts on B5.5 Estate
I have now got most of the bodywork looking OK after about a month, but the previous owner managed to scuff one of the black inserts on the corner of the rear bumper. Looks as thought it was a brick wall as it is scored/scuffed and looks like someone ran heavy duty sandpaper across it. Is there anyw...

Re: Your Very Own Heli Chopper For Beer Money
These are very good, but unfortunately not beer money unless you save up for a few months (but I guess that depends on your consumption of beer!!). http://model.hirobo.co.jp/products/0301-905/index.html I have one and you a get full control for indoor and outdoor (but on in light wind conditions) fl...

Plenum Drains - a question
I had a go at the plenum drians this weekend, and decided to remove the gromets rather have to re do this. However, I managed to push both of them through the holes rather than out of the holes. I have checked that they are not blocking anything. I tried to get them out but as someone has already me...

Re: Quick fix for Black Trim?
Tried it on mine and I must admit it comes up a treat, but the bloody dog keeps licking the trim (he likes peanut butter !!).

Had mine since the 16th July 2008, not yet a month. I am impressed with 130bhp diesel, goes very well.

Re: Clear headlights...anybody have them?
Excuse me slightly changing the subject on this thread, but if you fit FK Angel Eyes do they allow you use the lelectric levelling switch for the dip beams or do you loose this feature or have to do it manually?

Jacking point cover
On a 2003 Estate (not sure it is the same on a saloon), under the front sill there is a detachable plastic cover that pulls off to expose the jacking point. The previous owner of my car managed to damage one of mine and it will no longer fit on. Does anyone know where these can be bought from please...

2003 1.9 TDI sport shock absorbers
I want to replace all the shock absorbers on my Passat estate, as I think the current ones after 104k seem to be reaching the end of their life. I have "googled" to try and find replacement shocks but all the sites suggested seem to selling uprated springs and shocks, not standard shocks w...

Newbie from darkest Sumerset
Thought I had better say hello. Must admit I find this site a bit daunting with all these expert modders around. I have just bought a 52 plate 1.9TDI Sport estate. Used your site to help me with the dreaded pollen filter leak, and had to say thanks for the help. Just getting it cleaned up as the pre...
