Re: Da polishers

This is what I've managed by hand so far but I feel with a day with a machine I could get it better. Re: Project rare genuine B4 Vr6 estate

Well finally took the car to a different place for the tracking and camber sorting as the last place messed it up. Now drives amassing. Pulls a lot better than before. It's shocking what a little tracking can do to a car. By all accounts my tracking was a mile out but not anymore. http://i264.photob...

Re: Leather or leather/alcantara?

If you get heated leather it's not too bad on a cold morning. But it does fell like you wet yourself when it's on.

Deciding on which one is down to preference, wether you like full leather or not.

Me personally I would go for the half leather one.

Re: Project rare genuine B4 Vr6 estate

It's not modern it's retro :D Well since my boot lifters decided to pack in and not hold the tailgate up any more I've changed them now to some new shiny chrome ones. Nearly whacked me on the chin when I opened it after fitting. What a pain in the rear they were to fit. Your bot lifters? Are those ...

Re: Project rare genuine B4 Vr6 estate

Fitted the correct battery this morning and car runs smooth now. I had a hesitation problem with it and also things like having lights on then pressing the button for Windows the dash lights dimmed. So after thinking it was a bad earth (kind of is as the earth terminal won't tighten up properly) I f...

The only cars which are financial investments are classics over 20 year depending on which car. As said de-gut the dpf and remap. That'll save you a fortune years to come.

Re: Any b3 estate coilovers for sale in ok condition?

I second that Took me 3-4 hours to do the tears as you have to take out the entire boot plastics. Saying that once there out the suspension is easy but it is time consuming. Hot tuning coilovers are only £175 through eBay or if you look down the index page they sponsor this site so email him and he...

Re: coilpack replacement - how often?

I usually change my plugs every year (12 months)
The coil pack should be changed when it packs up no need to change it other wise
Just check the plug leads are ok once a year

Re: Newbie from north east, b4 vr6 estate

Mostly bmw and merc drivers who underestimate the car and don't know what a vr6 is. They just see an old car. Mines about 192-195 bhp but I've not had it rolling roaded standard it's 172 torque but it's a bit more probably. I've matched a bmw 325 and beat a bmw 525. Stayed with an Audi A7 3.0 tdi an...

Re: Spacers and springs

Apex Spring weren't bad on a b5 I had. All wheels have different offsets. So if your changing wheels have a look at the offset of them as you could have the spacers now say 15mm but when you get different rims you may need thicker or thinner spacers. What ever you do DO NOT buy cheap spacers like I ...
