Re: Silicon PIAA or similar bendy wiper blades!!!

Really want the silicone ones though, as the beading they give, and clarity is superb. Like the look of the aero ones and don't have the motorway speed issues, just can't find them for love nor money. Found this on another forum - not exactly sure if it would work though "I'm completely sold on...

Re: how to fix leaking door seal?

Try using some Silicone spray on the rubber seals, both on door and car. Makes them supple again, cares for the rubber and stops water.

I use my Pedros Bike Lust Silicone polish, does the trick :D

Re: Rattle inside driver door - driving me insane!

well the rattle is back after complete silence for 2 days!. either this monsoon 48 hour rain fest in manchester has washed my white teflon mountain bike grease out or its something else. It appears very thin now compared to Sundays application, so i'm going to put some traditional thick yellow greas...

Silicon PIAA or similar bendy wiper blades!!!

Where can I get these from? Mate put some PIAA silicone on his ford and the difference when the rain starts is supurb, no squeaking, nice clear view a complete contrast from my OEM bendy VW ones. I'm bored of using rain-x etc and the like, but havn't had much joy finding bendy silicone passat wipers...

Re: Rattle inside driver door - driving me insane!

Well gave the door hinge a good coating of white grease, particular the bit with the arm which stops the door at certain opening widths, opened and closed it a few times to bed grease in and FIXED :D no more knock. I guess the lever which clicks the door at certain positions is quite lax when the do...

i'd say bang for buck, performance VS frugality the 130 PD is hard to beat.

Loads of torque on tap, pulls like a steam train and can give 60mpg if gentle on the fun pedal :ymhug:

Re: 18" Nuvolari, exactly whats needed to rock these?

thanks for advice, now just to see if I can get anything close to these with OEM. I enjoy polishing, cleaning, snowfoaming car etc, but not keen on applying 3+ coats of protection on the alloys. Prefer to use a mild wheel clean spray with a valeting brush and finish off with dish wash sponge foam an...

Re: 18" Nuvolari, exactly whats needed to rock these?

great advice mate. OEM sounds like what i'll need, i've got real bad OCD over minor scuffs/scratches etc, so it would ruin me to see my nice new alloys to tarnish and fall apart in winter. Would ebay be best bet for second hand OEM's, and is there a way to identify an OEM as genuine (do replicas hav...

18" Nuvolari, exactly whats needed to rock these?

Jojo's nuvolari's are looking rather partial, http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Lisajojo/Passat/134-3444_IMG.jpg Can someone list some decent links to exactly what i'd need, springs etc to lower enough to take these beauty's? I've read some recent horror stories of undercarraiges getting stuck ...

Rattle inside driver door - driving me insane!

Tends to happen on minor bumps on the road, like a stone is knocking around in the bottom of the inside of driver door, getting progresively worse.

All the electrics on door etc working.

Any ideas?

How do I remove the door trim without breaking the plastic tabs?

I've not seen a highline without the chrome bumper and side door trims?

Mine came with parking sensors, heated full leather seats, 15" alloys, 6 cd changer in front dash, and the dash is a very dark grey colour (not keen on the light grey dash with black gearstick etc)

Re: Annoying window rubber noise...

i get this occasionally and at lights if i open and close my door it goes away for that journey usually. Think the door might close and not seat perfect sometimes.

I clean my rubber seals with silicone spray which prolongs their life and makes them more supple

Too much plastic and just looks ratty.

Although the alloys many of them are running on that thread are very nice indeed!
