Re: How heavy can I tow?
If it had a serial number I would think there might be an issue. I don't agree that the plate is usually rivetted, we have an Eldiss van, Is it something like a Hurricane or Typhoon you are looking at. I think ours may be screwed on but I am not 100% sure. Ours is Cris registered which is something...

Re: Remap? Any ideas?
Oh thanks for that guys, I'll certainly check that out. Yeah the car is sluggish as hell around the doors, power only coming on tap like I say at 3.5-4k revs, pta to be honest!!! I had a similar issue with mine, turns out I had a split in my N75 valve, so I had a new N75, replaced turbo hoses as so...

Re: So confused. Which oil for 2001 B5.5 1.8T?
For last year I been using Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 but found the engine was noisey top end and it would use more oil so ocaisional top ups needed, I have just switched to Shell Helix 5w-40 Fully synthetic and so far its the quietist the motors ever been. MPG still up in the 30's! Just had a full service ...

Re: Advice for claiming on warranty
Normally a clutch would not be covered under warranty however it should stipulate within the warranty document what is and isn't covered. We had numerous issues with Seat and their warranty when my wife purchased her Ibiza. Unfortunately fella warranty is a bit of a minefield. If within the warranty...

I used to do that aswell! Been a few years since I did though but I am almost certain it was a different red ex to the injector cleaner which you used to drop down the bores? I maybe wrong like I say it was a fair few years and dozens of cars ago.
Interesting though

I've concluded that mpg isn't better on this stuff :( my gauge is dropping at an alarmingly fast rate and I haven't even been giving it the beans anywhere, just cruising I'm getting the same mileage so no improvement there! However on first start up in the morning the car seems to pull a lot better...

I have a B5 1.8T. I just filled up on this twice whilst on holiday. I always use Super unleaded but I agree my car seemed to drive better. I used it on my way home yesterday towing my caravan 118miles and I got 25.5mpg (sitting at a consistent 60mph) but 6 days before I was using normal Super unlead...

i don't do boy racering. Would they not be good for general use? Didnt suggest you did and neither do I. lighting them up is a phrase I use for tyres that offer less traction than a different tyre I have used, its also plausible that the guy in the reviews isnt a boy racer either but hey? With havi...

My mate who has his own tyre company isnt a fan of Falken to be honest, I put 4 on a Mk2 golf gti a few yearsd ago (granted not the same model as these) and I would light them up very easily. I had those ER300 on my B4 and thought they were awful, noisy and wore very poorly,I replaced them with Hankook Ventus Prime 2's and it transformed the car, much quieter running and a lot better grip in both the wet and dry. Currently on my B5 1.8t I run Uniroyal Rain Expert and these seem to be very...

Just put Hankook Ventus V12 on my wifes Ibiza Sport to replace the Pirelli P Zero Nero whi...
