Re: EGR blacking

Pete, slip in blank £3, and vac line plug , 2 minute diy. It's the map out that is the ££ or choose holed blank with or without egr adaption via VDCS or VAG COM. Reasons to blank. The egr is fed from exhaust gasses robbed from the exhaust manifold thus reducing low down boost, so blanking gains e...

Re: pd 130 remap

Who's doing it ?

You should notice a smoother power , linier , petrol like delivery , torque coming in earlier, more midrange torque and more power further up the rev range like a petrol car.

Re: Plenum drains blocked - a helpfull guide.

Hi all, I have a 2002 Passat Estate and have been browsing various forums for the common water ingress faults however I cannot find any solutions to my problem. I have followed the guide and cleared all the leaves and gunk out of the plenum chamber and removed the 2 drain plugs. I have also reseale...

Re: Recommendation for replacement shocks and lowering sprin

Ah, got confused.

It's because Bilstein B4 and Sachs Super Touring are standard oe shocks.

Just make sure you get the firmer 1be Sports suspension version , and not the 1ba Standard suspension shocks.

Re: Recommendation for replacement shocks and lowering sprin

Supplied or fitted price ?

Although Richards not partaken he is spot on with spring and damper choices .

Skimp in this area and deep regret, short service with spine damage results.

I regard Oem Sport B6 suspension to be firmer than B5.5 with Eibach Pro Kit with 1be dampers.

Re: Windows misting with heater on

Not sure Stevie. Blower unit ? You don't have to have wet carpets for water ingress. Take seats out , pull up carpet and have a look. But do this as a matter of course before Winter arrives even if you think it's dry. Our aging Passats bulkhead water seals have had it. Remove Plenum bungs Reseal/ Re...
