Looking good now and love those wheels. Think I'll be fitting eibach or H&R springs on my wagon when funds allow should give me the look I'm after the same as my old saloon had.

If you'd had this for sale 3 weeks ago I'd have snapped your hand off for it but I've got my wagon now.
At that price you shouldn't struggle shifting it I'll ask round my mates as I know a couple were looking at getting passats.

So is not worth just getting the software / firmware updated by the dealer if its the same as changing the gateway or is there more benefit in changing the gateway for later modifications?

Well that's the part no I gave them I'll check with the parts lad next week but know I didn't pay that much.

Part no is 1K0419685/3Q7 and I think it cost around £18

Got it from the dealers as it was cheaper than the ones off ebay and then at least I knew it was definitely a genuine part.

Mines got 235/45 ZR17 97Y Hankook tyres fitted to original sports alloys. These were fitted to the car when I picked it up last week.

I fitted PIAA sidelight bulbs in my old saloon and going to put them in my new wagon as well. I tried LEDs but gave up in the end as even supposed canbus friendly ones would throw up a fault after a while.

Yes I really like the silver my previous saloon was and my A3 was too. Once I've given it some serious TLC it should really shine well.

Reference black trim you just need the parts off an S spec car as these didn't have any chrome trim as they were the budget base model.

Injectors spring to mind. Has it had the injector recall done?
