Re: Hot start problem
If you find it let me know.
I have the same issue on my 170 2007 tdi. When the outside temperature is more than 17 degree's it seems to act like a d1ck.
I was told it could be a crank sensor, but I don't know why temperature would affect it.

Not really a lot happening with the car atm due to temporary financial constraints but did manage to test fit the "winter" wheels today. https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/10410288_10152081118867441_6328106526715172565_n.jpg https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...

That is super cool, I thought it would look a bit more stealth though in the grille. The black bit sticks out a bit.
Still, love it.

Re: 19" wheels on a B6
All is good on the height I run daily. Ill try and get a photo of it for you. I have two heights for daily
I should be trying on some 8.5 et 32 fronts 19" and rears 9.5 et35 19" in June. I will post some pics up of how they fit at driving height.

Re: Cuts in carpet. Do you have them?
I don't need to look for them...they are everywhere! Worst car ive owned. I could understand if it was faults that I had created, but everything that breaks are things that I don't expect to break. Only reason im keeping it is because ive put so much money into it else it would have gone a long time...

Phew...that's good news for me. I thought it could have been a hidden problem before I bought my car. Least it has made airing the carpet out a bit easier! lolpassatb6007 wrote:Just checked mine, 2008 tdi s & same cuts in the same places

It's something I have wondered about for a while, but since my wet carpet issue I am even more interested to find out if other B6 Passats have cuts in the carpet. If not then I know that my car previously had issues with damp carpets. Here are some photos of where they are, if others could check I'd...

Re: Diesel Vs Premium Diesel
Not DSG no. I came out of the tyre place the other, reversing out got half way across the road and it cut out. Stuck in the middle of the road for about 3 minutes until it would start again. Also, on my way to London the other engine/workshop light came, lost the turbo so pulled over. Turned the car...
