Re: Engine Fault Garage, steering column lock
The part is about £70. I paid a local auto electrician £70 to fit it, then got the car towed to VW. £101 for coding.

SNAP.
Would never buy a second hand car seat, never know if its been in an accident, dropped etc but that's just me.
I love it and my son finds it comfortable. Great seat at a great price imo.

I guess you'd have to think about the mileage your going to put on them if you are worried about warranty.

Does the normal Passat b6 rear bench not fit into it? If so, I might be willing to do a swap!

Re: AP Coilover....any reviews/opinions on them?
When I had them the little grub/allan key screw rounded off very easy. So much so I could loosen it to adjust the coilovers. Other than that they were ok. I would just get something cheaper as I didn't really notice a difference between them and FK AK Street ones I used to have on the B6.

Re: help 07 2.0li deisel wont start
Every passat is like living on the edge. Have you ever heard of such a thing. Park a car on the kerb and the car decides not to start because of oil pressure? Who thinks up these ideas? You know these B6's. Got to treat them like a King. No parking them in areas they don't like. That's my downfall ...

Re: help 07 2.0li deisel wont start
Sounds like you might have the same problem as me. Mines sometimes wont start. Same symptoms...when the oil light/warning comes on the dash, turn the car off, leave it 10 seconds then try again. Ive only had to do this process a maximum of 3 times before it eventually fires up. There is no rhyme or ...

Rear headrest screens?
Looking to get some headrest screens in the B6 just after Christmas for my little boy on long journeys. Ideally want them built in to the headrests but obviously with him only being a one year wont wear headphones... Whats my options? I would love to hook a PS3 up to them maybe too. Thanks in advance.

Re: B8 Passat. Pre-launch pictures
These increasingly bigger barges aren't going to work well in supermarket/ multi story car parks. Tight junctions, narrow roads and tight spaces, yet the industry ploughs on building Ocean Liners. So true. I went to the beach the other day, lanes were pretty bad. I couldn't imagine trying to get on...

The Saloon looks like the size of a CC. And it pains me to say this, but the estate looks better.

Re: 19" Alloys 9.5 wide all round
If you want the arch near the tyre then 225 will be too wide and it will no doubt scrub on the front. I have to run mine quite a bit higher on the front than I wanted to... I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. That's with 215s too.

Anything with ET40+ you'll be fine in most cases. ET35 I think sits flush with a 9.5 inch rim just to give you an idea here a pic of mine on 9.5 all round et32 fronts and et35 rear. Re: G's 2009 Highline - Time for a colour change
I like the new wheels, more than the last set tbh. Although the cream went with the theme of the car I prefer these. Good to get the car to such a high standard before you buy a house...gets a bit tougher from there on in. :D But now you have it like that you can sell, swap things around and hopeful...
