Re: Losing coolant every few weeks
Mine used to slightly leak turned out it was the coolant temp senser(cts) at the back of the engine 1.8t, all of the above responses seem to be quite common, hopefully yours will be a simple fix if you can locate your leak.

Re: electric windows intermittent Now fixed !!!
Fixed the windows,it was a dodgy connection in the factory splicing near the ccm. I took the box out and it was bone dry and so was the wiring inside the box.I remove the tape from the loom and came across the splices of which one of them just fell in two bits. Whilst doing all this I stabbed myself...

Now no windows work at all with any switches they do however still go up and down when locked or unlocked by the key,ccm is still dry fuse 6&14 are ok is there another fuse which operates the windows? If the drivers switch was as fault would the other windows still work with their own switches? ...

Re: Audi alloys onto a Passat?
Yep they should fit as ive got 16" areo's on mine et42 and 5x112,not sure about the bolts from your steels though think you need some for alloys as I believe the alloy bolts have a taper on them, someone else should know though.
