Re: inner plastic bit in door mirrors
No not the bit the glass sticks to,the bit which goes which goes around the inside of the mirror which sits behind the glass to stop water getting in,if that makes sense?

inner plastic bit in door mirrors
Hi all, on a b5 door mirror just behind the glass there is a inner black plastic surround that stops water getting behind the glass etc,is this part replaceable as I broke it trying to replace the glass as the heater element burnt out?
Many thanks

Re: window clamp
Yep the cable has broke and I can move the glass by hand down about half an inch but it then goes solid and the clamps are still not vissable, perhaps I need to try and move it bit harder with another pair of hands. Thanks for all of the above replies its so frustrating when things don't go right lol.

Re: window clamp
The two large grommets ive removed but the clamps are about 2" to high to allow a socket in there hence why I need the window to come down a bit.

window clamp
Hi all my cable is kaput on drivers side window. Cant move window up or down to gain access to the clamp screws that hold the window in so that I can then remove inner panel to replace the cable. Is there a way to manually move window up and down.
Cheers

How about the bottom ball joint on the front, mine had no play in the joint at all though visual inspection it looked fine also looked ok on the mot ramps, also one of the brake pad clips were loose as well making a noise.

Ive bled all of the brakes but still feels a bit spongy,if I get in my missus car ive only got to touch her brakes and im nearly through the windscreen(yaris) I know mine is a lot older 99 but still should be a hard pedal I would of thought.

Spongy brakes
Hi all my brake pedal feels a bit spongy, though when I put the anchors out it does stop, and everything seems to work. Ive changed the fluid as the old fluid was black and that has made a difference but still feels a bit spongy if that makes sense. Ive checked the discs they seemed to be a bit glazed...
