There are 3 types of steering rack for the B3 and they are all interchangeable as long as you also use the matching steering column to rack UJ.

Re: b4 wagon 2.0 to vr6??????
If you are not going to do it yourself its going to cost you 10 times more than it would cost to buy one.....and then it would be a modified car and the insurance would be more too. It makes no sense at all. Buy a VR6 and sell yours. Is that a hint seen as your selling yours lol No hint as mine is ...

Remove the interior light to gain access to the motor, you will see a slotted screw that you can turn with a big flathead screwdriver turn that to close. It is at one end halfway between two mounting screws.

Re: Front struts loose
Popped into see Glynn this morning and although we did find that he had the parts in the wrong order ie. spring top, bearing, nut, strut mount, strut top and nut. instead of spring top, nut, bearing, strut mount, strut top and nut. Even having done that it still didnt solve the movement problem. I h...

Re: Front struts loose
That is definately not right I cannot see how any mot tester in his right mind could pass it in that state.... At a guess a part has been left out when the coilovers have been fitted. Early cars had in this order spring, washer, spring seat, strut bearing, top nut. While later cars had again in orde...

Re: Rear Wheel Bearings doing my head in!
Shavey, Maclee is right when i changed mine years ago they did feel loose but covered thousands of miles with no problems so it must be ok. On mine i could turn the washer by hand !! If you have a snotty mot tester you might need to nip them up but normally if there is no noise they pass. You will a...

Re: clocking a b3?
Most B3's can carry huge mileages without really showing it i have owned 2 with over 200,000 on them and the only way you knew was by the speedo. Its only really a problem if they are asking a premium for the low mileage in which case unless they have the paperwork to back it up i wouldnt pay more t...

My 1993 B3 VR6 auto
Probably the only B3 auto left in england and nicely speced with factory cruise, heated leather and thermotronic.
Soon to be fitted with Votex lights, 4 spoke wheels and matching steering wheel.

Physically no as most B3s came with 14s but personally i would say 14s only work if they are wide and the car is very low. This is a purely personal opinion you understand.

Re: Removing saloon headliner
Been a few years since i did mine but iirc i pulled the front seats out and took it out the rear door.... it was suggested you could just wind the seats down but its so easy to remove the front seats i did it that way as it also gives you more room to undo everything. It is easier to have a mate to ...
