Ok, just took mine off so i can post a part No...... The sunglass holder consists of 2x hindge parts & 1x center peice. The main center peice does not have a visable part nunber on it (the back is covered in a cusioned foam self adeasive backing) & i'm not removing that !, one of the hindges...

I'm also tempted, its just the cluch thing that is putting me off, also do they smoke more under full acceleration when chipped, as mine smokes a bit if i've driven gently for 20-30 miles then boot it ( TDI) ?

I had mine done at motor plus (VAG specialists) in Derby. They charged me £250 , but that was about 3 or 4 years ago. There worth a try though !

my 03 TDI sport has the code 1ZC which if thr previous poster is correct it means it has 288mm discs

Looks like an SE, Sports have 3 spoke steering wheel , 6 speed box , lower stiffer supension , outside chrome trim , grey alloy effect radio surround and interior door handles , auto diping rear view mirror & Auto rain sensing wipers !

There is no wiring there, just run a wire from any switch that is illuminated. I took mine from the back of the dashboard illumination brightness control switch.... 10 min job

I have, i just got 3 vents off a b5 passat in the scrapyard & swapped them over, then wired them up to the interior lighting circuit. easy job !

Also the undertray holds the leading edges of the wheel arch plastic in place. Yep, the power wire to the fuel cap release does go via the CCM. I had problems with mine & it was coroded wiring in the loom just outside the CCM. Good Luck

What year is it ? Early "S" (97-98)models did'nt have computer or remote central locking or rear electric windows but VW introduced these to the "S" models around 1999/2000. Also "S" dont have drivers center arm rest.

What is the colour code ? I have a "grey passat" but the colour is actualy " blue anthracite pearl".

Can a stand alone fault reader reset the air bag light ?
