Re: W8 build thread - starting to get there

your kidding me?

if so have you considered rs6 or maybe using a B6 s4 lump?
or can I tempt you to go 2.7t?

Re: 1.8T Uprated fuel pump???

from what i read 4wd pumps don't fit 2wd cars, thats why on the golf mk4 you have to use the seat leon cupra R 4 bar fuel pump, as it's fwd and a straight swap oem fitment, and not the R32 or TT fuel pump... well i am talking abotu audi a4 audi a6 pumps which have the same designed basket the r32 a...

Re: 2.8 30v engine any good?

Mine never used up oil but cam covers are a weak point new seal and some extra gasket sorts that out. Would that be the cause of a waft of burning oil smell I get from time to time (usually after pulling up at the lights after a decent run)? this could very much the case. My mate with s4 lump used ...

Re: Project V8 twin turbo may now begin .......

nope the 2.7t lump is identical to the 2.8 but with just a couple of turbos on it. The passat engien bay is very much like a A4/A6 so not a issue at all Yes i would love the rs6 lump but to be honest the 2.7t does everything i want it to do and haven't felt the need to upgrade. The only reason I do ...

Re: Project V8 twin turbo may now begin .......

I know fully well how good the old lexus v8 is and how underrated it is. as for ali engines the 97>onwards audi v8 are also all ali and very very light. The b6 v8 is the smallest and lightest modern multi valve out of all production cars hence the main choice for those with ultimas and kit cars alik...

Re: Project V8 twin turbo may now begin .......

engine and gearbox might cost you nothing but the work to make it fit and custom parts, time, wiring, etc will very quickly sort that out in my opinion but I wish you the best of luck and hope you can pull it off at very low cost. There are a lot of guys in the US that convert the quattro box into R...
