Re: Would you buy a 4motion 1.9tdi estate?
I would agree with the comment re Haldex, I had 1.9tdi A3 quattro and that returned very good mpg around 50 (not quite as good as my old Passat) it's funny the first time i gave it a bootfull from a wet T junction i heard this bang from the rear diff never did it again must have not had any exercise...

Well having been lucky to own both a 4 mo and fwd sport estate at the same time fir 2years only getting rid of the fwd car for a need for a van I guess I am in unique position to answer the question. First off having driven quattro for over 30 years in various guises it's hard to stray away from the...

Re: That was fun .....
3 things to add
1. Why not use copperslip on the pinch bolts??
2. I have used Kroil as a penetrating lube with good effect
3. Pinch bolt maintenance is like changing the oil done on an annual basis, for me it's when i change over summer to winter tyres

RAL is an industry wide colour code system, so you could apply the same code to another finish and it would look the same

Re: Glow Plug Change Quick Question
The ones I fitted were Beru as were the ones that came out, mine came from a german ebayer cost was 26 quid for all 4 plus i bought a removal tool in other words a decent longer socket, 3/8 drive they came out really easily, i had given them a soak with Kroil penetrating fluid the day before.

Re: Glow Plug Change Quick Question
All done in an hour, hot is the way forward, it's just like changing spark plugs really. The ones that came out had a slight step on if that makes sense.
Thanks
