2013 passat estate.....has anyone bought a sat nav update? If so, looking for a rough price and best place to get from ie dealership or other. My system is RNS 315 ( pretty sure it is, other in manual is RNS 310)..... how can model number be found in the settings/configuration? Thanks all.

abs sensor. ive hd both back wheel sensor fault and changed, safe to drive.

My mechanic just cleared the fault codes off the system as far as I'm aware

my mechanic took a look during the week. put a meter on the sensor , was ok.did other test, all ok. traced the wiring loom through the car and found the wire had rubed through near a clip. fault cureed all ok.....until yesterday, when the fault has produced itself again

I have a 62 plate Passat bluemotion highline.

has anyone had error codes, symbols on dash relating to the ABS sensors?

Or had rear left sensor changed?

What is the best but reasonable price and where to buy from: a spare bulb kit (number?) to keep in the car for a just in case?

To reply above, I've not experienced it during warmer weather. Its only happened a few times, was damp/wet yesterday and all started ok with no noise.

It was mentioned to be that its possible the extra load from alternater onto the belts from initial start up in the morning?

I have a 2013 Passat Estate Highline. Trying to estabish wether its the RNS310 or RNS315 system. In the handbook, it says to look in the service book sticker in PR numbers 7T2 or 7UC, Ive looked but are not stated.

Any other way of knowing what system I have?

£300 fiited by VW dealer. before they found it was n75 valve, tests were done first. mechanic i took it to before going to dealership, qouted that it was the turbo knackered and a rough cost of £1600. I had the same/similar problem. Its could be the N75 valve (turbo solenoid valve). VW dealer did tests and replaced. expensive bill £300 was about £90 for part.

If you get the fault code read and its P0299, then it could be the n75 valve needs replacing due to being knackered. Thats what happened to me.

problem solved... it was the turbo solenoid valve (that what vw dealership called it)!

from what you have said, it must be vacuum leak etc. its not turbo as limp mode resets after restarting engine.

I've checked all the 20 amp fuses in the front of car fuse boxes and under the bonnet and all are OK. Any other ideas?
