You could make them out of super alloy like turbine blades, but it would be so heavy, it would take forever to spool up!

Hahahaha actually laughing my head off! Lol!ct.p wrote:Partial Pressue.
Partial pressure is when you need to exert a little force to get a fart out. It is a highly dangerous state of affairs as there is always a danger that it is not actually a fart at all and is actually in a solid state.

Re: tyre pressure - Nitrogen
Mention Of partial pressures was to see if you had a-level physics. I do, and yet still don't know the solution to this - so I'm the most embarrassed lol I think partial pressures are for mixed gases maybe ? Someone will correct me / us .... :-) Know what you meant, was just extracting the p :p Don...

Re: tyre pressure - Nitrogen
Is this partial pressures? I knew all this once. Lol You can use decimal places if you don't want whole pressures :p 1kg of helium at 1ATM has a volume of approx 5.9m3 1kg of nitrogen at 1ATM has a volume of approx 0.86m3 So if you compress both of those down to 0.5m3, they will both still weigh 1k...

Re: tyre pressure - Nitrogen
Helium has a lower molecular weight than nitrogen, so for the same pressure, will be lighter (even though there would be more helium in there)Lee wrote:Go on.... Lolsy666 wrote:compressed helium has mass greater than air, just making a point on the nitrogen claims.
