I have just got one for my car. I got a second hand fob off ebay but watch that you get one with the same number's(mine was HLO-1JO-959-753a/433Mhz). There is a screw under the vw badge on the fob.
If you take it out you can split the top part in half and the transponder chip is in there (small glass thing).
Swap that over to your new fob but be careful not to baeak it getting it out of the old fob.

I have just got this problem but only the carpet where your feet go is wet. The carpet from the step down to the floor is dry it's just the floor pan that is wet. Hi and thank's for the reply. I did it with vag-tacho i got the sck then went with the "program new key"in vag-tacho and did what the program told me to do. Regard's Alan. Ps i had no fault codes then but i have now. When i scan with vag-com it tell's me incorect key programing ???

Hi to all I have finally got the right cable and vag-tacho to program my new key/transponder chip. I followed what vag-tacho told me to do and the new key is now working but. I now have the immobilizer light flashing on the dash so have i turned the immobilizer off. Any ideas. Thank's Alan.

ah good to know... looks like i will be having main and full beam in the passat as the kit won't fit with the touran bulb holder. Hi again Got my car back but still got the same clock's in it. They said they had a problem with there computer but i think that is bull. I think it is this "SKC" they had the problem with. Can anybody tell me how to get it i have vga-com and vgadash plus the obd cable. Thank's Al.

I had the same problem.
Mine turned out to be the micro switch under the bonnet (to say the bonnet was shut).
Befor i found it i got the red led flashing on the door but no indicator flash when i locked the car.
It will be one of the switches door/bonnet/boot.

I have found the switch but it is just hanging and i can't see where or how it goes back on.
I have put a tiewrap round it for now so my alarm work's properly.

I am trying to get the alarm to sound when i lock the car it will sound when i unlock but not when i lock it.

Hi all
A bit late on this one but i have the same thing with mine.
No flash when i lock the car but the red led flashes to say the alarm is on.
I have set it up with VAG-COM but i only get the flash when i unlock.
