Mine warns me of the tailgate and all four doors when I'm stationary, and bleeps when I pull away, bonnet never shows on either car...

Just checked my '01 1.8t, that doesn't show a bonnet open warning either although I'm sure it used to...weird

Alpine CDE135bt is a top choice, amazing sound and top build quality

Pioneer are troublesome mind, loads of IC problems as well as earth track faults and general crappy build quality (writing wearing off buttons and collapsing release mechanisms etc). I work with car audio for a living so I see all brands day by day!

One design/quality flaw after another, these VWs certainly aint the quality cars I once thought they were!! My Peugeot 406 was trouble free after double the mileage these Passat struggle to acheive!
