Rigged Passat
I'm afraid the subject isn't the cleanest here. It's just the test mule for my new rig. I just got a Canon 10-22mm but unfortunately I haven't got a CPL or any ND filters yet so the exposure isn't as long as I would have liked, but I still think there is a nice sense of speed. http://farm9.staticfli...

A shot of my 2.8 4MO
I took this tonight simply as a practice shot. I have a few photo shoots lined up soon and I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing. I had my 430EX II and wireless triggers on a tripod and I took several shots and changed the location of the flash in each shot. I then blended all the image...

Re: Timing belt...
i would change the belt as soon as poss, they all have different intervals depending on engine code but i think 5 years is the longest to leave one regardless of mileage. Its a 2.8 V6 30v. Deffo change it...60k or 4yrs max....don't want it to go PING :(( :(( Yeah, I think i'll get it changed sooner...

Timing belt...
My passat has only done 44,000 miles and its never had its timing belt changed. However, it's still an 11 year old car and therefore an 11 year old belt.
Do you think this matters, or should it still be good for another 20 or 30,000 miles?

Cheers for the comments guys. And amazingly enough, i just realised I posted this on the wrong section. I never noticed the newbiew section - doh! I wouldn't mind doing a few things to the car to be honest, but i'm just gonna run it for a while, and see how we get on before I make any changes. A set...

Hi - New member
Just picked up my first VW on Friday. Its a 2000 Passat 2.8 V6 4Motion Auto which has also been converted to run on LPG. Its only done 44k miles, so the interior is in awesome condition. Shame the same can't be said for the exterior, but it was owned by an 89 year old man, so what do you expect. But...
