Re: Broken Bi-Xenon Headlight Lens. What are my options?
Yup, cracked on top of the headlight. So far i have used a 2 part epoxy called plastic weld on it, i just hope it holds or at least keeps the water out. As its only a quick fix i'm going to use automotive silicone stuff for now with a view to speeding things up. There is no softening the adhesive th...

Re: Broken Bi-Xenon Headlight Lens. What are my options?
I have driven this road all my life and i think the pheasants are like the elderly drivers of Norfolk, hesitant, indecisive, doddery, non predictable, and generally dangerous. I have always found that deviating from speed or swerving confuses the pheasants further making them more likely to do somet...

Re: Broken Bi-Xenon Headlight Lens. What are my options?
Got the lens off in one piece but it was a mission and the casing had to be cut away to get it in the oven. I have heard Valeo sealant is a nightmare and they weren't wrong. Next on the list is remove the xenon light and remove what's left of the broken on lens and as much sealant as I can before re...

Broken Bi-Xenon Headlight Lens. What are my options?
Morning all As usual this time of year i had an encounter with a particularly stupid pheasant which resulted in my Bi-Xenon N/S light lens being completely smashed. What is my best option here? Headlights are just over £500 new from VW including discount which isn't really an option. Does anyone kn...

Re: Thinking of buying a B6.....
If you are looking for the absolute pinnacle of the range you need to be looking at the SEL model but the petrol models are like rocking horse poop. Unless you can run to a R36 which is basically the same specification minus the body kit and the 3.6 V6.

Re: About to roll off a cliff, help needed urgently!
Bit of an update for you all! Since the rebuild all is generally running well and the head has done the job. The clatter at cold is still there which makes me wish i had replaced the cam shaft shells with new instead of re-using the old ones. My garage has had a listen and said its most likely the c...

Turn one of the cycle carriers 180 degrees and mount one cycle facing forwards and one backwards. This will stop the handlebars clashing so you can get them closer together.

I wish people understood the unsprung weight issue when they go 19" :hyst Slight off topic but on my T4 i always found the ride quality was far superior on larger diameter rims than small diameter, it seemed to iron out the bumpy Norfolk roads a lot better. In 5 years of ownership i had at lea...

My first thoughts are stolen and abandoned. Anything like this should be a call to the police who will in turn follow up with the council for disposal. I was a civil servant for 5 years in the forgotten emergency service and know how this plays out.

Have you checked the contacts are good and not corroded? There might be a break in the bulb which is not visible, you could put a meter on it to know for sure. I just purchased http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371587171193?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and they are absolute...

I'm not overly familiar with the 1.9 pedal but mine is a base, potentiometer, pedal and kickdown all in one and i have had a similar problem before. Last time it happened it was a simple case of removing debris from the pedal pivot.

Until you have the proper setup and use it you will not understand what all the trickery actually does and how it works with the vehicle. Basically other drivers can still be blinded particularly when coming over an apex because the sensors will not react as they think the car is on the flat. The se...
