Hi, Have a search around mate lot's of people have had similar porblems but there seams to be more than one cause. But when I had this problem, mine was due to a fault in one of my keys, all I did was use my spare and happy days but if that goes gonna have to get them both re-programmed. Cheers Andy.

Cheers for the replies folks, was thinking Gunk myself for one as used that years ago.
To be truthful I didn't want to miss out on a magic product which did the job without involving elbow grease...lol.

Will post some pics up when I get to it, It's a standard 2.0tdi B6 in Black with all the chrome still on. 55 plate with a fat skinhead driving it..lol.

Hi all, One thing that lets down my recent Passat purchase is the Engine bay.
It looks like it's never been cleaned from new.

Any body got any good tips on products or techniques which will help with this..

Made the purchase of a 2006 2.0tdi 140SE a couple of weeks ago, couldn't be happier with the car although it's made me much more sensible than I have ever been before...lol.
