Allgerman car parts want £74 for the lower rear "Banana shaped" arm. Thats for a meyle one with 4yr warranty.

The Lemforder are slightly cheaper and apparantly were used when the cars were new. They come in at £67.20.

i have exactly the same knock on mine and have found out after taking both front wheels off and testing that the lower rear arms (banana one's) are completely knackered, this noise does stop going over normal bumps if i have my foot on the brake peddle but if i go over largish bumps with my foot on...

I really want to replace my 18" A8`s with 19" LM`s.

If it goes well get some piccies up!!!

The plan is for a new set of lifters, new cam and a belt at same time! Saves going through swapping a head and not knowing how long the replacement will last!!

It's tapping like crazy and has been for a while now! So I'm thinking the tappets need sorting and the cam is probably worn!Therefore I reckon it'd be easier to drop a new head on when I do the cambelt!!

Any other suggestions welcome though!!

That could be the issue then. I`m having it serviced next weekend so will get some Top End Treat in there and see what we are up against.
