There are those that highly recommend the DS2500 Ferodo Pads, never had the discs or pads myself but the make is generally well spoken of

Re: Gtiracers New Motor
Pity they cannot put the power on the road properly with the McPherson front struts and live rear axle ! The golf platform is so dated in terms of handling and needs serious money spent on to get it to feel properly. Don't get me wrong, they are fine to 80 Mph but the ride feels funny after that. A...

Re: 5.5 estate 130tdi sport 34 mpg is it right??
I would say something is wrong, my remapped pd 115 with bigger turbo and injectors used to get 45mpg around town - something definately wrong - do you have any boost leaks / faulty MAF or N75?

Oil Warning Light intermittent - Pump Replacement?
Recently my oil warning light has decided to come intermittently on and off when I'm driving, it will come on for about 2 seconds then flash off again. I took the car out and it did it twice on one short journey so I'm guessing it means duff sensor or pump (obviously I have checked the actual oil le...

Re: 5 SPEED to 6 SPEED SWAP HOW EASY
From factory, only the passat with the v6 engine and 5 speed gearbox had a 240mm clutch, if your's a PD engine it should have a 228mm clutch unless it's been converted to a SM Flywheel and 240mm clutch... No conversion done, for some reason when we have the gearbox out of my car it had the 240mm cl...

Re: 5 SPEED to 6 SPEED SWAP HOW EASY
You need a few bits to swap round: clutch, DMF, linkage, gearbox mounts + new a/c lines (you can bend them if you feel brave !), starter, etc. As pointed, i would'nt bother with the passat 6 speed box as it's quite un-reliable (unless is from a v6 passat/audi a4/a6) but it would give you the oportun...
