Re: AVF Semi Auto - Remap
I drive a Automatic AVF Passat, had it remapped myself since I bought it 2 years back. Since then I've done 50 000km the car itself has over 500 000km still original gearbox no repairs, only fluid and filter change. So what I mean is that the automatic is no so fast to brake as they say. Also Autob...

AVF Semi Auto - Remap
Morning all! Been away for a couple of years but sooo glad to be back in a Passat. However I'd bought my first auto B5.5 and enjoying the laziness of the auto box but thinking about remapping the beast. Is it as straight forward as asking someone to map it or will it need something special due to it...

Re: Newcastle to LeMans, via 3 tracks in a £500 car for Char
This looks sweet. I've done two charity rallies myself. One in a decked out ratlook Citroen ZX to South of portugal. Another in a nissan vanette self made camper and went to Split in Croatia and back Via Nurburgring. Both Epic adventures. I'm sure you'll have loads of fun along the way. I love the d...

Re: IS £450 FOR A 2 TONE PLASTI DIP REASONABLE
That is a good price, I do plasti dipping myself and would charge no less then that.
Man hours are long, and paint is expensive. You'll need 15 litres minimum which people don't realise is the expensive part.
I would charge £495 for that.

You've got that wrong, you need it 38 or higher.T2000 wrote:Yeah try and keep the offset under 40, 35-38 ideally.
So you can tuck them. A lot less headache and less arch work required.

Re: What do you think?
Thanks man.
It's had the usual things like coilies, smooth grille, jap spec insert, xenon projectors... Leather interior... Can't think of what else off the top of my head. It might be getting an fmic when I change the turbo. Oh and it's had a stage 1 remap by ccctech. ;)
