Re: Newbie searching for parts

What's the correct position for their alignment? I assume the old ones will be in their correct location, but just incase? The bushes have a thicker bit of rubber as you look at them (if you see one you will know what I mean) this thicker part aligns with the trailing arm - the outer bush, thicker ...

Re: Newbie searching for parts

Ahh i did see them from euro but disregarded them as they looked so different. I appreciate all the help, will i need the use of a press to put them in? The ones in your link look like front subframe bushes - the ones in my link are the rear axle pivot bushes, I made a bush puller out of some threa...

Re: Newbie searching for parts

These are the ones you need x4 - there are two each side, I have replaced mine & they don't just push in or out, they need to be pulled - also they have to be aligned the right way round as you fit them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAR-AXLE-BUSH-PA2-81-88-VW-PASSAT-MK2-HATCHBACK-80-88-HATCHBACK-EQ...

Re: GL5 Headlight Washer Jets

Hi Benntenn Done a little research and evidently the part number is 113955975B which seems to indicate that its just a bog standard T-piece connector and not a valve :???: Cheers Karl Hi Karl - the P/N I have is MLO 281 955 187 made by Hella in Germany & has the VW Audi stamp on it - it's a rou...

There is a 1 way valve in the system - well I say one way but it looks like a T piece - this has a direction arrow on it worth checking you have fitted it right

Nice GL5 in a nice colour - the seat material used for the GL is quite hard wearing & will scrub up well with a wet vac

Saw in another thread that your fuel lines have a leak ? try these for fuel pipe & fittings, unions etc

Re: 83 b2 gl5 radio live/power problems (need help)

Replace the fuse in the fusebox (behind glovebox) even if it looks ok - the radio might also have a small fuse usually at the rear where the connector plugs in

yep, that's what I'm hunting for, the whole RHD GL5 pedal setup. TBH, the reservoir setup I could manage to build up from other parts if I needed to, it;s the pedal assembly and the clutch master cylinder sub-assembly I need. All as per the image above :) I can't help you with the parts you need bu...

The RHD GL5 had a separate hydraulic circuit for the clutch - LHD had a combined brake/clutch hydraulics reservoir

???? the black on the bonnet is a plastic trim fitted to the late b2's as part of the face lift

How about fitting double din in the center console & fit aux gauges in the slot where radio once was - would be easier & tidier than moving heater controls perhaps
