well thankyou.. i am doin g a lon g trip to york nxt week. could do without the worry. really not sure if fans working right. i know air con fan does not work without a tap on the casing. its the viscous fan. it spins but only as fast as it does when engine first starts. may have to look for issues ...

back to the initial issue. yesterday took top cover off engine and wanted to try and work out what pipes iff any got hot etc. well the heater hoses into matrix still get nice and hot so i assume? that matrix is allowing good flow. the top hose of radiator remained cold until climate control read out...

wow. mindrot. thanks. makes very grim reading for sure. so basicall my cars about to give up on me then. its had new rad 4 yrs ago new thermostat and temp sender 2 yrs ago and no mention from garage of any issues. im feeling quite miserable now having read youre comments

the comma xstream is what halfords sell these days for our engines. there is also a g40 . their literature shows g30 exceeds g12 spec. im personally not particularly concerned that its not g12. its a 2004 car with 120000 on clock. so wont have too much time left in her. just want it as gud as can be...

thanks for suggestions. think possibly time for strut replacements anyway so will prob get a pair. then i can inspect spring at same time and replace if necessary. as for the bushes i cant find much info about them. would it be necessary to replace them at same time and is it a relatively easy job. ...

ok thanks. ill have a quick look before the arduous job of removing the old actuator. been looking on ebay and noticed there are a couple of types. depends on how many wires on the plug so will have to check that before purchase.

i got a 2004 highline est. had exactly the same issue. and at mot time. right the only way is to get door open .i just kept operating key fob .and at same time kept pushing door inwards slightly. then on one occasion it did actually open. the only way otherwise is unfortunately to wreck the door car...

when everyone is driving toyota hybrids and plugging them in to the grid every day i doubt that they wont be able to provide enough power without resorting bk to nuclear power stations.. power cuts every day. get into hybrid and it wont go coz no charge. its all madness
