right, update. got car in to limp mode, plugged in laptop, opened vagcom and ran autoscan.
came up with a fault 17965 charge pressure positive deviation.
does that mean anything to anyone in the know??????????

yep done that, no faults showing/ praps my limp mode aint limp mode at all. does limp mode always show up on this vag com and if it does wot type of fault does it usually show. do u have to have the purchased upgaded vag com??

well ref my limp mode. i purchased the vag com lead and driver. downloaded the lite software from ross tech. set the stuff up ,plugged in to the diagnostic socket, turned ignition on ,found the com port and saved it. i ran a fault diagnosis on the auto scan programme and alll it came back with was a...

again ,still fiddling. just read some codes on the climatronic control panel and it shows a fault code 318. just had a look at possible issue and it shows air con pressure switch. any idea wot that may be and wot prob it causes. also where is it haha.
