I can only see the most recent pics? Saw this at Harewood house, made me miss my satin black B3 soooooooooooooo bad What did you use on the door card(s) that looks ace. Also loving those door cards Not sure what happened to the old pictures, they're all stored on facebook so I guess the links might...

Damn, would be a shame to let her go. Funny how B3 threads get more popular when the cars start to limp, B3 fans seem to be secret vultures... :hyst Hopefully the shell will go on to someone. Like someone else said, they're getting even rarer! Managed to salvage my HG failure but only because Mk3 G...

Just a brief update... How she looked at last year's VW festival at Harewood House (I'll stick up some more recent ones soon, honest!) https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/1185904_10153151781520008_1549892888_n.jpg?oh=e9dd9428e2ad43d8ea2135428775bad5&oe=54D46DC0 https://scon...

Red B3 Wagon in Leicestershire
Spotted a nice low red B3 Wagon heading south on the Lutterworth road t'other day, nice to see another decent Passat doing the rounds.

Looking smart as always mate.
Where were you hiding at the VW festival? Though tbh the weather was horrific for quite a bit last year so I wasn't mingling much.

Considering the bits on that car it's well worth even the asking price (insert usual "if I had the money" comment here)

Cheers mate, yeah they really are pretty handy at what they do, the splitty is awesome. Still no idea what I'd have done to mine though... Door card update, finally got some pics of the "finished" front doors https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/484593_10152024298325008_1...

Howdo all, just a quick update as I have a few bits of news. Doorcards are done but I only seem to have pics of the process so here's a sneak peak: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/s720x720/166053_10151764405900008_876362212_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-...

Re: New engine time (possibly)
I think you're right about the clearance not being an issue, the only problems I'm thinking of could be things like exhaust downpipe length and other things that may be slightly out. I'd prefer to find a 2E from a passat but there just don't seem to be any about at the moment. Been speaking to a cou...

Re: New engine time (possibly)
Aye I've been keeping an eye out for a 2E motor but so far no luck (though I've only been looking for about a day).
I'll have to keep looking for now. Though I am a bit worried about the extra length of the 2E causing problems with mountings etc, any idea whether they'll still be an issue?

Time I updated this as a bit more has happened recently: She was settling a bit too low for daily duties so she's had to come up just a bit to be sure she doesn't get beached on a fag packet: Before https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/s720x720/524623_10151461332990008_652555007_2350...

New engine time (possibly)
Looks like my PB 1.8 is on it's way out (knackered piston rings) and as such I'd best start mooching about for a new bottom end. Has anyone tried the 2.0l bottom from a 2E motor into a passat? I know it's longer I'm just wondering if it was worth bothering or should I just stick to getting another d...

Re: Jay's B3 Wagon... aka Dirty Gerty (dropped low)
She's in at a mate's garage for today getting the thermostat and aux belt sorted, made sense to get the coilies slapped on whilst she's in there though. About that low should do the trick http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/417456_10151265658950008_652555007_22808442_223377970_n.jpg What ...

Cambridge road garage in Cosby might be worth a look too. A good mate works there (it's his dad's place) and he's thoroughly into his dubs (has an R32, a slammed air cooled beetle and a bay window camper).
Have a word with them on the phone, they won't mess you about and are very fair on everything.

Re: Any Motorbike riders here?
Whatever you do, do not ride that GS500 in winter, they really are not keen on salt/water. I had one as a courtesy bike when I had an off in 2006. It was 6 months old with 1500 miles on it and most of the alloy had started corroding, also had rust around the filler cap. My current ride as she stands...
