Re: Chrome detailing strip around windows

Hi Griggsey, Thanks for the rubbing down tip but I tried that and failed, so new headlights is a must and if anyone has some good feedback from suppliers on that, I'd love the link please. I'll give the dealers a ring about the window chrome, hell I hate paying their inflated prices. Again if anyone...

Chrome detailing strip around windows

Hi Guys, I'm giving my B5.5 a bit of a makeover and want to renew the chrome looking strip that goes around the windows. The strips along the doors and bumpers are still ok. Does anyone know where to buy these or is it off to the main dealers. I'm also replacing both headlights because they are real...

Re: Correct tyre pressure

Thanks for the info and physics lesson guys, The question has certainly sparked a difference of opinion. For me I'll stick with 33 front 32 rear and keep an eye on the wear and make small changes if required.

Re: Correct tyre pressure

Hi Guys, Many thanks to Phil & Dubber for your replies. They are very different answers and to me, both have merit. I have had this size tyre on for many years (30 psi all round) so it's sort of crazy that I am now wondering if I have been wrong all these years. I do seem to go through a lot of ...

Correct tyre pressure

Hi Guys,
A quick opinion from all on 18" rims. I'm running on a set of YOKOHAMA 225/40 R18 95Y XL Advanced Sport tyres. I have 33psi front & 32psi rear. Is this about right.

Re: New owner from Co Durham

Hi Guys,
I'm not that vocal on the site these days, always seem to have other things to do but would be up for a mini meet for a few hours maybe on a Sunday afternoon or evening. Just pick a pub with a big car park that we can all find and take it from there. I'm in Washington.

Single mass Flywheel & Clutch kits

Hi Guys, With my driving I'm surprised the clutch has lasted this long. Revo remapped at 30K and now 96K I have the first signs of slip. Lots of choice of makes out there ie Valeo, LUK, Sachs all around the £350 plus VAT mark with Dual Mass Flywheel. However I have come across this company. http://...

New exhaust

Hi Guys, I think the original exhaust is finally on the way out. Not bad for an '03 (or is that about normal). Question is which one to get? Is it best to replace the whole system? should I get a decat and maybe upgrade the manifold while I'm at it. Can you get one that you can put the cat back in f...

Cheers Mate, I'll check them out as well. Its nice to see that the members are all as helpful as ever. I've been toying with the idea of changing motors lately. Had considered a B6, then a GTi but ended up really keen on an Audi 3.0 tdi Avant, (Fancy a remap on one of those babies) B-) :ymdaydream: ...

Hi Mate,
Easy choice, buy a TDI (130pd) 2001-2005 and remap it. If you want more performance that this offers buy a RS4.

Re: Hello

Hi Mate
I took the eibach springs and dampers option. Its better to do the both together, that said while the ride is great, I would have liked a lower look but at least I don't have to worry about speed humps.
