My clutch is doing the same in first and reverse , being doing it for weeks now , I haven't had a chance to get it checked out yet,

Disconnect battary for 10 mins then reconnect it, turn on ignition but dont start the car , hold down foot brake for over 30 seconds, keep your foot on the footbrake and hold in handbrake button for 15 seconds, then release both at the same time, this usually works,

Got all 4 injectors replaced by VW for free, if they check them and they are the faulty ones ,they will replace them for free.

Hope the insurance pay for your brakes Derek, I will be getting 1 brake motor and fitting it myself.

Only need o/s ebrake motor but Verve advise replacing both £648.93, I have auto hold so the motor will have to wait.

The new OEM calliper+motor for £145+vat per side is from http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk You have to send your old ones back to them for recycling. As mentioned previously I havent bought them yet as the car was involved in a car accident yesterday. Derek, is it recondioned motors they are selling...

Verve phoned ,, TNT have lost a parcel with my glow plug in it, so no car today ,,waiting for work mate to pick me up,as I start work at 3pm,, hope I get it back tommorow, the discs and the suspention bushes will have to wait until
I get some overtime,

Went to Verve Glasgow to get the injectors replaced yesterday , and asked them to adjust the brakes, they have told me that I need two new motors fitted (£650 ). a glow plug, 2x front discs and pads, and the suspention bushes are cracked .

Quick update in this! I just collected my car from Verve VW Glasgow who replaced all 4 injectors and wiring loom free of charge even although my car was running totally fine and is 5 years old with 91k miles on it. The girl told me that all they seem to be doing at the moment is replacing injectors...

Handbrake motor is now running on to much, I can hear it clicking for a while after the brake is applied, could it need set with the Vagcom.

Looked at your site Martin (great info ), took the motor off and wound back the piston, the flashing light on the EHB has stopped, but there is a brake warning light on , scared to touch the EHB switch incase it sticks, will get a new switch and see if that fixes the problem. anymore info guys appre...

Have read the threads about this problem , and I have tried disconecting and reconecting the battery and holding the foot brake then the EHB ,
AA man been and cant get it to work either, found that n/s is working and o/s is not.

Cant get my handbrake to go off, tried disconnecting the battery but no joy,
I read a thread on the site a while ago about disconnecting the battery and holding the switch in and doing something else.
