Thinking of buying a CC, some help please.

I'm looking at returning to the passat community after spending 80k in a VRS Octavia. The CC has caught my eye and I'm looking at the basic spec of: No more than 40k on the clock 2.0 Diesel Would prefer 170 bhp but would consider less Reg around 2015/2016 GT or R line spec So before I start hitting ...

Re: Yee olde water ingress !!!

Thanks for the tips on the scuttle panel, I cracked mine tring to get it out last time to get the battery out.
I know the grommet for the bonnet cable, that's had a good funking of silicon around it a few weeks back.

As for the condense pipe I couldn't find it when I looked for it last time

Re: Yee olde water ingress !!!

I'm fairly sure it's coming in from the front of the car. The past few days there has being a damp line running down the carpet from the area of the heater. Suggesting it's coming from the bulkhead area of the car. I've also checked the heater for leaks and found none. I've just ordered the black fa...

Re: Fault code readers

I was just curious on how far you can go with this software. If it's just a read / reset only then a hand held module might be the way forward for me. The cars throwing up error messages on occasion, normally can be cleared by disconnecting the battery. But it would be nice to know whats going on wi...

Fault code readers

It's about time I brought myself a fault code reader. But there's loads to choose from, even looking on FeeBay there's various types around. Now do I opt for a handheld one, various prices around from £15 upwards. My understanding is these will typically read the fault, reset the fault and reset th...

Re: found key fob with blank blade but

I used a guy in Sutton coldfield by the name of Duplicut to cut my key and programme to the car. Nice guy, he even removed the missing key from the system so that should a previous owner with the key stumble across my car the imobaliser would still be active. He is or was located right next to the V...

Re: 2002 Passat thermostat

Quick update from me with this one. First of all thanks for the advise from everyone. Managed to complete the job on Sunday with the aid of a chain wrench :) Had to pull the tad forward to pop the fan off but that's simple enough, grille off take 2 plastic guards off at the front of the tad (held on...

Today we have tried lots of thins and were gonna give it another go tomorrow to remove the fan. This is fast beco...

Has the car had a replacement windscreen by any chance? My old works van had the same sort of problem, if i used the window washers whilst on the motor way bubbles would appear out of the top of the dashboard next to the window. Turns out the chap who replaced the windscreen didnt fill it fully with...

Re: tailgate release problems..

Hi Scott. When you say you have checked the micro switch and the solinoid you check them with a multi meter? Are you getting power to the solinoid when you operate the switch in the door? Does the micro make and break when operated? Is the coil on the solinoid open circuit? Also try giving the solin...

So i took it to my local VW dealer and they unblocked the drains, when i picked it up i was told it was all sorted. To my horror the fo...
