doing the axle mounts on my 1998 passat estate at the moment and i'm wondering if its adviseable to change the springs,its done 160k the shocks although rusty dont have any leaks,does anyone know the free length of the rear spring so i can see if it has lost its spring.....

its time to replace the front suspension/steering arms on my 98 passat,been looking around for a decent kit to use,spotted a kit from quinton hazell,are they any good?

but anyway,my 98 1.9 tdi has a problem whereby the central locking and electric windows(not the sunroof)has stopped working from time to time,what is the answer

being a tight git i'm looking to do a few jobs on my b5 1.9tdi estate 110 bhp myself rather than paying someone who knows what they are doing,yes i know that does'nt sound very reassuring however when you're skint it starts to makes sense anyway some advice is sought.is it an involved job to change ...
