Cambelt off job to replace it....
Had mine done (2006 BKP) before christmas... Best price was main dealer and they replaced cambelt/water pump/tensioners at the same time...
Symptoms was no start on a warm engine, started fine when cold.....

Hi all,
Just bought a new Pioneer FH-X720BT stereo, along with the fascia, aerial Fakra adaptor and iso lead adaptor....
Going to try and fit it in the week.... Does anyone know if I will need to find and tap into a power source anywhere, or will this be plug and play..?
Cheers all..!
Dave.

Anyway, VW want upwards of £20 and a new knob on ebay is £17+, but loads of cheap ones for the 5 speeds.... Here's what i did i...

Re: New member HELP issues passat b6 r line 110bhp
Your steamed up interior is most likely the interior airflow recirculation motor/flap stuck in the closed position, not letting any air in from outside.... Had to change one on a mates Audi A3 before xmas as it was stuck closed. Have a few tries as pressing the recirculation button on your heater pa...

Re: 2.0 Tdi Non Start *FIXED*
Well to update on this. Got various quotes from back street garages, VW specialists and the VW dealer... VW was the best quote, £349 for cambelt, tensioners and water pump, and £144 for the camshaft sensor, so all in all it came to £493. Some garages were as much as £600???!! Got the car in to t...

Thanks very much for the reply.... The belt was last replaced in 2011 at 75,000, car is now on 115,000... I managed to restart the car once it has cooled down 6 hrs later, drove it home and cleared the code. Drove it again Monday 100 miles on the motorway, switched it off and then restarted it again...

Re: KMB Balance shaft install
If you go onto KMB Parts direct website and give them your chassis no. They will tell you if its a gear or chain but as yours is a 2006, then likely its a gear driven.
Mine is gear driven but the hex key was still worn....

Re: Misfire/stutter
I'd suspect a faulty EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) Valve in this case. It opens and closes at varying engine loads within the RPM range that you are experiencing. When i gets dirty and 'coked' up with carbon and oily gunk, the valve doesnt seat properly and will chatter giving the symptoms you've ...
