Re: wanted estate lowering springs
The front springs were bought for my 1.9tdi 5.5 estate that I had previously,I had to buy a full set, because a kit that I previously bought was for a 4 motion, which left me with rears that I could not use.I suspect you may have to buy a full set, unless someone on here has some spare rears, and you ca...

Re: vibration.
Thanks Chris, the vibes are pretty constant through the rev range.Don't get me wrong,my teeth stay in!It's just one of those annoying little things. The clutch was done by my regular bloke, and actually, the flywheel he took off seemed ok,also the vibes were the same beforehand. So it's mounts first(afte...

vibration.
For some time now,I have had an annoying vibration through the car.I had the car into Awesome to be looked at,and the possible diagnosis of a worn ball joint didn't impress me,especially as it prevails when the car is stationary. After much looking, prodding and guessing,I have noticed a sideways move...

I would have thought that converting from petrol to diesel would be a hell of a job,and it would be too much for me to take a chance on.

Re: Opinions wanted - should I just get it done??
If you did get the head done, you really would have to have it skimmed I would have thought, and I know how we all think money, especially when it's tight. If it was mine I think I would be looking for another head, but either way,it's a difficult choice.A fairy godmother would be nice at a time like thi...

Re: Best way of attaching a bottle to overflow
There is nothing worse than something wrong with your car,no matter how trivial, but there is no better feeling than when it's fixed,so keep the faith,it will come right, just hope you don't have to skint yourself. As for your question, you'll have to experiment with various bits of tubing I should imag...

Re: 205/60 or 195/65/15's
I would have thought it would be hard to tell the difference once they were fitted. 195-65-15 were standard tyres on steels, whereas 205-60-15 came on alloys. Overall rolling diameter will be virtually the same, so the only real difference is the extra 10mm in width. Your Mrs may notice an extra 10...

Re: tyres
If the wheels are on the car with the 235's on, you'll be able to see how much room you have, especially how close they are to the front suspension arms and rear dampers. Take 5mm off the current clearance and that'll show you pretty much how the 245's will sit. Personally, I think they will be a b...

You should quite easily be able to change over.T' black door trim has adhesive on it,though you may have to remove some guides off the new trim. ![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/4.gif)
